Unistraw International secures a finalist position in the prestigious 2007 Telstra NSW Business Awards.

Unistraw International received confirmation this week that they have secured a coveted position as a finalist in the 2007 Telstra NSW Business Awards.
The respected annual awards programme was introduced by Telstra (Telstra Corporation is an Australian telecommunications company under private ownership, holding a dominant position in landline telephone services, a large share of mobile phone services, domestic consumer (including dial-up access and Broadband internet broadband cable modem, satellite and ADSL services under the BigPond brand), business data services and cable television) in 1992 to recognise the achievements and enterprising spirit of small businesses across Australia.
The programme was developed to help profile Australian businesses. Over 4,500 nominations were received for the 2007 awards. From the thousands of nominations received, 420 were chosen as entrants, from those 420 entrants, 137 were named as finalists in 4 categories. Unistraw international has been named a finalist in the Panasonic Australia Business Award - open to businesses with more than 20 employees but less than or equal to 50. Unistraw International will also be considered for the AMP Innovation Award which recognises businesses who have recently introduced an innovative procedure, product or service.
The judging process for the 2007 Telstra Business Awards, involves a rigorous examination of the operational skills of the nominated business. Ms Deena Shiff, Group Managing Director of Telstra Business and the Telstra Business Awards Ambassador said she was impressed with the high calibre of finalists this year. The Telstra NSW Business Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 27 July 2007 in Sydney.
